Starmax's Little Baking Workshop
This week's theme challenge is. . .
"With ZOLNIXIS you have to make a 4-course MACEDONIAN meal."
"Well, Boss, it's been a while since we released something by ourselves out to the public."
"It sure has been, Leonidas! I'm so glad we've come up with new dishes lately, especially with the help of our little chefs in training! Are those new customers I see? Please, do come in!"
Here at Starmax's Little Baking Workshop, we make sure to keep our ingredients fresh, tasty, and properly packaged. We only collect resources from the finest of places; beautiful vineyards, overflowing gardens of spices, and bountiful bushes of berries all lined up, ready to harvested at their peak of ripness.
Our chefs are of the finest in the town, making beautiful culinary creations that anyone from young to old can enjoy. Keep in mind that our chefs do take requests into consideration and will try to make you feel as comfortable as possible with your meal!
"Come now! This way! The kitchen is a bit messy, I'll warn you, but the best creations are awaiting us in there!"
"Ajvar is a seasonal dish in Macedonia, always made in late summer and early autumn, just after the pepper harvest. It is a popular Macedonian appetizer made of roasted paprika (peppers) and eggplant. It is popular in many Balkan countries, with slightly varying recipes. Some include ripe tomatoes and even string beans."
( x )
- - - Salad - - - Shopska Salata (Shopska Salad)
"Shopsaka Salata is steeped in tradition and hugely popular in Macedonia and surrounding Balkan countries, namely Bulgaria. Often served as a summery pre-meal appetizer, this salad is somewhat like a Greek salad. The key to an exceptional Shopska Salata is using succulent vine-ripened tomatoes and crisp cucumbers and chillies."
( x )
- - - Main Course - - - Sarma (Rolls)
"Filled with pork, beef and vegetables, the sarma can be rolled just like a dolmade. While made all year round by some willing cooks, this Serbian dish is traditionally served at special occasions like Slava."
( x )
- - - Dessert - - - Oblanda Rol (Chocolate Treat)
"Macedonian Chocolate, Fruit and Nut Roll baked to a fine crisp."
( x )
"I'm afraid this is all I can show you right now! You want to be surprised with something, right? Well, come now, it's time to go!"
Our team at Starmax's Little Baking Workshop always appreciate comments, suggestions, & constructive criticism when it comes to our creations - that way, we're able to further improve upon our work.
**the RNG is rolling....*** "With Zolnixis there will be
a 4-course traditional/cultural Estonian Meal! ______________________________________________________________

WELCOME!
This time I would love to present you some tasty Estonian dishs!
As a celebration of the new Zolnixis roaming Sylestia, this time we will be making
the 4-original course out of the Zolnixis-Revamp!
Traditional Estonian cuisine has substantially been based on meat, potatoes and on fish in coastal and lakeside areas. Now it bears influence from many other cuisines:
a variety of international foods and dishes, with a number of contributions from the traditions of nearby countries (like Scandinavian, German, Russian and other).
The most typical foods have been rye bread, pork, potatoes and dairy products.
Estonian eating habits have historically been closely linked to the seasons.
This traditional soup is served chilled, it has a plain yogurt base, and its ingredients include chopped cucumbers, fresh dill, fresh garlic, olive oil, and finely chopped walnuts.
Here the chopped onion is combined with peeled, seeded and grated cucumbers and dill in chicken stock. Once the soup is pureed sour cream and egg yolks are added. Then the soup is chilled for at least 4 hours.
Salad
Rosolje (Beet Salad)
[if the pic by any chances disappears again - Here the original link]
We do also have Children's portion:
Estonians are proud of their traditional dishes the rye bread, potato salad, selection of meats, sausages, marinated fish, pickles.
One dish which was historically never missing from a party table, is rosolje a beetroot and potato salad.
The main components of rosolje are boiled beets and potatoes, combined with onions, peas, pickles, boiled eggs and, according to taste, pickled herring, boiled or smoked meat, or smoked sausage. The sauces used are mayonnaise and sour cream, which is seasoned with salt and pepper. The recipe can be adapted in number of different ways... x
Entree
Estonian pork
This a is a traditional dish from Southern Estonia, consisting of pork loin, Sauerkraut, apple, onion, pearl barley and spices, that are are combined and simmered for about 4 hours. We remove the meat, cut it up and place it into molds. After pouring each mold with the boiled stock, they are placed into the fridge until the stock has jellied.
It's filling and substantial, and therefor a perfect winter dish.
Dessert
Kama
Kama is one of the oldest dishes in Estonian kitchen and a traditional summer dessert. There's really no equivalent in most other traditions.
Basically it's a thick desert drink made with sour milk (keefir), and a mixture of ground grains - rye, oat barley, and pea flour.
It can either be eaten with a small spoon, or drunk straight from the cup.
