Has there been a suggestion for a Chimera yet? I happen to be good at drawing those! If it has already been suggested, sorry. I think it would be a good idea! Because they come in many colors, patterns and looks. If you want I can give an example.

First off, I'll say that I am not an artist. I can sketch pretty decently with the old fashioned pencil-and-paper method, but digital art is just... gah, it's like krypronite to what little artistic ability I have. That said, I felt this was an idea worth sharing, and a visual worth straining and groaning over. (If only I had a scanner... x_x)




So there it is. Horrible art. But, it gets the concept down better than I could get with words alone.

I call it a Katadin. (Cat + Paladin) It has thick, fluffy fur to keep it warm in the cold northern icelands, big ears for sensitive hearing, (supposed to have tufts of fur at the tips but I ran out of room, and tufts of fur within the ear itself so it doesn't freeze) and the weird-looking tail-thingy is like natural armor.

The Katadin's armored plates run from the top of its head and all the way down its spine until it forms the armored tail, which can be curled entirely around the Katadin to form an armored ball. This is both useful in protecting the Katadin from harm, and to very quickly roll across the snowy terrain of it's natural habitat. (Like Sonic the Hedgehog XD)

*design is based roughly on a Lynx and an Armadillo
