It taste the air with it's tong and head toward you slowly, seemingly unsure and curious of what you were.

i'll just act like its a cat and let it sniff my hand.....

As it use it's tong to taste the air around your hand you notice that a few small bark pieces were stuck to the slime on it's back.

maybe it went crawling up a tree...

The piece come off with little difficulty, coating your fingers slightly in a slimy substance. While the wood piece didn't seem different from the bark from the surrounding trees, the part that had been previously hiden from your vew was a bright pink.
