Derek released a breathy chuckle at the statement. He worked on rolling his earbuds up with his music player as they walked. He looked up to see many people making their way in the same direction and assumed that meant the dining hall was in that direction. He grunted, but found himself grinning in response to the shoulder nudge. "People say I'm too uptight and serious. So I must be bad. worse than you. Our squad likes you, respects you. I think they only respect me because they have to."

He had no problem finding the dining hall. With his silent observation skills, he had noted all locations that would be important to him. He took a seat at a table and hoped he'd remain invisible. He almost always was. His team hardly ever noticed him, and he liked it that way. He did appreciate, thought, that Harlin and Derek noticed him all the time. But that probably came with being the leaders. He sighed and set his notebook down on the table. He wondered what would be served here tonight.

"Hi!"

Raph jumped when he heard an enthusiastic "hi" from behind. He turned and raised his eyebrows at whomever had spoken and nearly visible flinched at seeing them sitting beside him. But he wasn't a rude person. "Hey.... the name's Raph." He said it in a soft voice, avoiding eye contact.

She grins at him cheerfully. "That's a cool name!"

She was pull out of her boredom when a guy went to sit next to her, actualy, she woudn't have noticed him if Endrew hadn't noticed him before. The artificial creature was, after all, made to assist her during mission and detecting others humans around was part of his core fonctionality.

The IA of her helper had decided that the best course of action was to lay across the boy's book, wich would have been a 'normal cat behavior' in this situation.

Harlin thought for a minute, and smiled some more as he looked back up at Derek.
"It hasn't always been that way, I mean, let's face it, it's hard for people to respect someone that's half their size." He laughed quietly and looked ahead again. It was no secret everyone that was currently in the squad had underestimated him, or teased him for it, but in the end, he always took it with a bright smile and a laugh.
Harlin shook his head a bit. "If that's the case, then I'm disappointed in them, because I respect you."
He glanced back up at Derek again. "I asked for you to be my Second because I saw a lot of things I wished I could be in you. I think you're a person who is worth being respected, and liked."
