Nicote nibbles his pomegranate. "It was more like having possession of a stone."

"I see. He didn't keep his. If my memory serves me correctly I recall him saying something like he took the powers from the sphere and then it shattered. He also said that the power left a mark on his hand. When he touched it it sent him into what he calls a rift. Any of you experience anything like that?"

NIcote sighe and pulled up his sleeve again. "This." He unlaced his boot and showed them a badly-burned/scarred foot. "Fell through and hit on it."

"The stones we search for don't shatter though. Only their subs do. THe subs aren't as bad though so unless he got a Stone of Death sub...." Newt shivered. He had bad memories o f that one....

"What color would that one have been? The one he touched had a green light shining from it. At times when it was fully charged it would change to a deep red color." Dorian said. At this point Dexion had returned to him, hugging the man close.

Astra blinked not following the conversation. She realized that someone had asked her about the rock. "We've had it in our family for forever, but I've never heard about it glowing."

Nicote went to astrana. inspecting it, he nodded. "Not a sub or a stone. Just a raw gem."

Newt sighed. 'Probably a sub stone of war." he said to the Ds.

"You are talking about the orb aren't you?" Dexion muttered past Dorian's clothes. With that he held out his hand, the cut like mark sparking to life. "It gave me strange powers and visions when I touched it. When I woke up they said I fell through a rift after the entire city was destroyed. I was the only one who survived." He waved the sparking hand in the air forming a tear in the fabric of reality. From the rear a horse like animal emerged. It had two heads that looked like insect heads rather than horse heads. Between the two of them there were nearly eight legs and a set of skeletal tails. It approached the elf who reached out and petted it slowly. "Out of everything I saw there, very few wish not to hurt me. The Fade is a dangerous place, and I hold the key to bringing to the material plane."

Newt grined. "Likened spirits, except we hold keys to the freedom of the person who can control to SOurce."

"Still." she frowned. "Can you in your obsession of gems, and stones, explain why in kthe world is it glowing."

"Are you saying you can free me of this burden?" Dexion asked eyes shining brightly as he slowly led the horse back and closed the tear. He winced some, holding his wrist as the magic faded.
