They stop moving as the shadow of a winged creature flew by. The thing was easily twice their size in lenght and seemed to be made entierly of twiste roots and branches.

I go over and look at them, seeing if theres is anything interesting about them. (Can I touch them? Ive never touched live seaweed before...)

Noticing your reaction, the deers like creatures fleed into the wood. You being into a petrified forest however coudn't hide very mutch as the creature reach the ground without a sound.

There seem to be some kind of orb tangeled inside the clump, it was casting a rusty glow on the water around it.

Interested, I nearly touch it, but then I wonder if it's dangerous. I look around, seeing if there's a stick of some sort that I can poke it with.
There was nothing that could be used as sutch but a small sea creature was nibling at another clumps a few feets away, unaware of your presence.

You asked to talk to the creature, it seem like there was a language barier between the two but they still manage to comunicate fairly well. You notice it looked like a mix between an otter and an eel as it came closer.
