hello i was wondering if you left all the summer designing unlocked for a reason? just wondering
We leave design threads unlocked until we have selected designs from the threads and thus no longer have the need for them.
Dates for design threads are always given as a "Earliest possible due date" because it's always a flex time frame for us. Usually we end up going through and picking out the actual designs ~1-2 weeks or so after the chosen due date.
But nothing is gained on our end by locking them before we pick.

I don't know if I got the memo but when is the summer festival starting and when will we get pet traits/new summer avi items?

The Summer Festival will begin sometime towards the end of July or early August.
The pre-posts will be popping up relatively soon.
