Angel takes everything in, looking around. She had never seen any of this before

Nerd comes over. "Bad news: Can' access the code from this side. I get gibberish." He eyes the machinery. "Wow. I...did not initially code that in but I guess what's on the outside isn't really seen from the inside...Except I don't know how any of this works, I just did the coding and computer stuff, Jack handled the machinery stuff or we called up some friends of ours."

"Wait. You don't know how this stuff works? You're supposed to be the genius here! You're Nerd for goodness sake!"

"Coding? Yes. Gamemaking? No problem. Strategy? I'm your guy. But machinery? Uh, no. We Legends, if you haven't noticed, specialize in specific areas....well, most of us. Phoenix is probably the only exception. But yeah, machinery's not my thing. I generally leave it to a friend of mine I work with, or to Phoenix." Nerd shrugs. "Machinery's a whole different thing, it involves engineering and science. And I hate to admit it but I kind of suck at both. I know enoug to reboot my computer and hook up a microphone and that's pretty muc hit."

She gaped. "Are you serious? I'm sorry. That sucks. However, you're lucky I'm here. I'm fairly good at engineering and I was almost advanced in my science classes." She froze. "I mean...I'm failing all my classes and down know anything," she giggled, flipping her hair. She died a little on the inside

Nerd raised an eyebrow. "That was....contradictory. You just said you're advanced in science, yet you know nothing. To succeed in science, you gotta know math. You can't learn math without learning basic English. And by the way, if I remember right, you made it past Level 275 on this game, in Hard mode. Only 25 people have beaten that level on Hard so far. You can't pass that level and not pass a basic math class."

Nerd turns to look at you. His blue eyes, framed by thick glasses, almost bores into you. "There are only two people from the outside world in this game right now. And one of them Is me. The other one is you. I highly doubt that someone else said anything just now."

He turns back to the machinery. Walking forward, he places his hand on a small screen-llike object. It flickers, and boxes of textlike images pop up. he examines them for a moment, then closes them.
