I am working on posing but I wanted to start with the outfit. I want to start by saying I'm not Chinese. So some information might be wrong. (Also I'm not too sure what you wanted for her eye color? I put grey because I like grey eyes lol)

I thought I should base her outfit on a Chinese martial arts uniform. I wanted it to depict the Phoenix to go with his dragon. In Chinese mythology, the dragon and phoenix are often depicted in an eternal harmonious dance, symbolizing the perfect balance of yin and yang. The dragon represents the masculine, with its strength and power, while the phoenix embodies the feminine, representing grace and beauty. Together, they signify the harmonious union of opposites. According to some myths, the dragon and phoenix are celestial beings that fall deeply in love.

The character on the bottom I'm pretty sure means harmony. (But if you want to be safe I could just remove it entirely.)

If you wanted to lean more into the yin and yang aspect I could change the color palette to be lighter.

If you like it I will add it to the commission. (You can keep this image too if you'd like)

Her eyes are a medium-deep blue(Usually depicted specifically as ocean blue). If a reference color is needed, either the first or third blue on this palette could work:

Gray eyes are always very pretty on characters though, so I understand why you like them.

I think the outfit design you chose is beautiful, and I love all the thought that you put into the design for it, I'd love to have it added to the commission(And if you'd like any extra payment for the outfit design, I could give about 200K at the moment, so feel free to send a CoD if you'd like). The character for Harmony being included on the design is also totally fine with me.
And I definitely think the outfit would have been a gift, I love that idea. <3
And keeping the color palette as it currently is would be fine with me.

I usually do a bit of research when it comes to canon characters. I just want to portray them well. If you want to add the 200k at the end as a tip that would be fine.

The sketch looks wonderful, I love it. The expressions on their faces are so adorable, and I love how fluffy you made her tail!

And it's totally okay, I can wait however long is needed for the commission to be completed. I very much appreciate you taking the time to do it in general, so I'm completely fine with however long the wait is for it.

Another update. (Slow but steady progress ^^)
Had a little hard time picking colors so if you want them changed let me know.

I think the colors are great, though could his hair be made a bit darker(Black or a darker brown)?
Other than that though, everything is perfect. ^^
