Chapter 9:

Angelzrulez throws their green trap at the vulnyx, only for the cat to become annoyed and angry. Its eyes glow brightly before the cat jumps on top of Angelzrulez and attacks them until they are almost unrecognizable. The group shudders in fear, looks like a green trap was too weak. Hemmons bravely steps towards the vulnyx and confidently throws their purple trap, catching and beast and stopping the slaughter.

After the ordeal the group collects water from the river before crossing the bridge and arriving in front of the base of the icy mountains. You climb up the ice, finding convenient footholds along the way. When you reach the cave and peer in, you see a sleeping draeyl.



The draeyl radiates power, just as the recovered faelora and mystical lake kelpari do now. The question now is who will catch it? You look at your pouch of water you collected from the river, and then back to the fiery draeyl tail and get an idea...

What will you do?
A. Catch it (see below for the list of traps available to each person).
B. Dont use a trap.
C. Komadori ONLY: Use your ent faelora to battle the draeyl.
D. Mewzzer ONLY: Use your lake kelpari to battle the draeyl.
E. Hemmons ONLY: Use your fiery vulnyx to battle the draeyl.
F. Anyone: Risk killing the draeyl (or weakening it) with your pouch of water.

Hemmons has a green trap left. Wonderfulb2uty has NO traps left. Thrackerzod has a green and blue trap left. Mewzzer has a blue trap left. Eveanw has NO traps left. Sessi has a purple trap left. ColonelHazard has a green trap left. Komadori has a green and purple trap left.

This is an individual vote. If Komadori, Hemmons and Mewzzer battle the vulnyx, random.org will be used to determine who is victorious in battle, who dies and who is safe. If one player decides to battle, random.org will determine if they are victorious, if they are not they will die. Traps will not be taken away if any person battles. If you pick the wrong colour of trap, there will be a chance of death (determined by random.org... if you don't think you have the right colour then choose to not use one). Players with pets can also choose to use a trap or water.

I choose to use my blue trap. I don't want to hurt it, so no water throwing, but we also can't risk nobody befriending it, since it is clearly the third forest pet and we may need his help.

Okay, some discussion points:

This Draeyl is strong, so I suspect only purple traps will work unless we weaken it first. That means only Sessi and Komadori would have a chance of catching it right off the bat.

Fighting it seems like the best option, but Mewzzer has already opted to stay out of battle (despite their pet being the most likely to win), so that leaves Komadori and Hemmons. Because the ent faelora is likely weak to fire, we probably don't want to risk it, as we need all three forest friends to be successful. Hemmons' vulnyx is disposable as far as I'm concerned, so that seems like the best option. However, it is much weaker than the Draeyl and probably has a much lower chance of success unless we weaken it.

Throwing water has a chance of killing it, so I would recommend that if we want to weaken it, we only have ONE person throw water. That way we minimize our chances of killing it straight out.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

1) Hemmons battles the Draeyl with their Vulnyx.
2) Sessi and Komadori throw their purple traps -- this is the last forest pet, so you might as well use them now -- if Hemmons fails, one of the traps will hopefully succeed.

OR

3) If the above steps are not followed, everyone else should throw their traps and one person can douse the Draeyl with water in hopes that a blue or green trap will work. Similarly, if no purple traps are thrown but Hemmons battles, someone should douse the Draeyl.

I suggest the last person to respond should consider what everyone else has done and determine whether throwing water will be of any benefit.
