Final B. I don't want it to be hurt and I got a better prize from earlier.

If I use my Vulnyx, could it be killed? This will have an impact on my final decision.

Technically yes, but it wouldn't matter because you could die as well. I'm not going to give all of the mechanics on how I determine this stuff until after the chapter and if you guys want to know.
There is a method I use to determine whether or not someone dies, or who dies. I don't just pick randomly. I set up a sort of formula and use random.org. The formula is always slightly hinted at in the story, but not completely.
For example in the chapter where you caught your vulnyx, while I wrote it I determined that only blue or purple traps could catch the vulnyx, because even though it was weaker it it was still a formidable foe to the group, hinted at in the story. When it came to figuring out who died, I took everyone who used a green trap and entered them into random.org, unfortunately Angelzrulez was to die. Anyone who used a blue or purple trap was put in and random.org determined you were to catch it.
So nothing is willy-nilly here. Yes I have to compromise sometimes, I can't always predict the outcome, or sometimes someone will leave the game or can't post an answer in time (Keanai, Ivodince, Masterofdragons). In those cases I re-write the story to include their deaths.
Hope that clears some stuff up, if you guys were wondering. Everything in this thread (except design contests) is randomized and I don't pick favourite people.

I am not going to use a trap. I love my vulnyx, and I do not want to risk ticking off this powerful sylesti.

Looks like Colonel is the only remaining player to submit an answer. As always, I will post the next chapter when it is ready, and after the last answer is posted.

Okay, seeing as nobody is fighting, and we only have one blue trap and one purple trap in play, I'm going to try and weaken the Draeyl without killing it so that we have a better chance of success catching it.
My final answer is F. Risk killing the draeyl (or weakening it) with your pouch of water.
Once more unto the breach, dear friends!

Chapter 10:
ColonelHazard climbs over the ledge of the cave and steadies themselves near the edge, standing above the rest of the group who are gripping the icy wall of the mountainside. They take their water pouch out and silently sneak closer to the sleeping draeyl. When the flaming tail is within their reach, ColonelHazard throws the water onto the flame and runs back to the group on the ledge.
The draeyl awakens and roars in agony. Everyone peeks over into the cave to see a small flickering light. The water in ColonelHazard's pouch was enough to weaken the draeyl but there wasn't enough to completely put out the flame. The draeyl is very weak now, and now it's time for Thrackerzod and Sessi to make their move with their traps.
Thrackerzod throws their blue trap but it lands on the flaming tail. Even though the flame is small it incinerates the trap instantly...thankfully the water thrown on the tail prevents the draeyl from attacking back and instead just remains on the cave floor. Next Sessi throws their purple trap and it lands neatly on the draeyl.
Before Sessi can run to soothe her new draeyl the ground below the mountain shakes, and the icy walls of the mountain begin to crumble down as a loud bellowing sound rings through the forest. In some ancient language a monster speaks and the only words recognizable to the group are: "Adventurers of Astral's Vale." With no time to spare the group, the forest faelora and the lake kelpari aid the fiery mountain draeyl down the mountain just in time to escape the cave, which crumbles and caves in. Obviously something in the forest is angry that the three forest friends have been reunited.
With only one way left to go the group moves along the pathway towards the house marked with a red X. As the group approaches their destination, you can't help but feel you are being watched. A lonely shack, identical to the one you encountered a few days ago, stands in the forest. A shovel leans against the wall, near the door. From the cellar door a black-purple fog seeps from the cracks.
What will the group do? A. Start digging for treasure.
B. Inspect the cellar door with purple fog.
C. Enter the house through the front door.
You have until December 7th to submit your answer!

Going into the house, you will probably be eaten or attacked by nasties.
Going to inspect the fog will probably get you absorbed or mind controlled.
The safest choice in my opinion is to start digging for treasure.
I will dig for treasure.
