Allu clung tightly onto the scales, her starlight wolf in her arms.

"Honestly, I don't know anymore." Mel looked down sadly, then towards the windows, staring out with a empty gaze as she reflected. "Time passes awfully quick for me. I've seen many deaths, many births. But... I suppose that's because I'm a computer program. I don't suppose much has happened. I don't know." Her sentences became shorter and shorter as she choked a bit, her eyes gleaming with tears. "I... just... wish I could forget... but I can't."

"Would you really want to forget, if you could?"
Florie was thoughtful. She had an idea of how it could be possible for a computer program to forget something, but she did not know if it would be possible to do it on Melody and if it would be right to do it. Would she still have her human consciousness after that?
"I don't know a lot about informatic, but If you are a computer program, would it not be possible to somehow... Delete or alter the code lines which contain the memories of your death and the destruction of your world?"

"But then what would be my purpose? I'd be a normal AI." Mel wiped her tears with her left hand. "I can't forget. I'm the last link left to the past, and in case I meet him or her again... I just can't remember. Altering code is easy for me. Forgetting... is not."

"I wouldn't want you to loose all your humanity. Couldn't it possible to at least make the memories more bearable? To reduce the physical pain you remember, and to alter the worst images?"
Florie had no more Idea of what could be done for Melody. She hated when she was unable to help someone.
"Maybe someone who know more magic than I do could help you to have your former body back, but I'm not sure it's possible... I know people we could call powerful wizard and witches, they don't know anything about AI and technology".
Florie's face looked sorry. She decided to try to find a way to turn the conversation to something that what not too linked to the end of her world and could make her feeling a little less sad.
"Do you think that now you have been in my phone, you can come in it whenever you want, even if I'm in an other world? If it's possible, you can come to talk with me when you feel lonely. I can introduce you to friends of mine. Some of them are very nice and good people, who wouldn't mind taking to an AI even they don't know exactly what AIs are. I could also introduce you to my brother. He loves computers, and everything linked to robotic and artificial intelligences. If he knew I was having a conversation with you right now, he would be jealous!"

Mel twitched. "I guess... sure. I haven't physically been to any other universe before, and I never will, but this'll be new."

"I travel between different worlds a lot. It's weird at the beginning, but we get used to it after a time. I guess that as an AI, you would not get any of the side effects... Do you need phone network or internet to get access to a phone?" Florie asked.

Harligh politely declined.."i'm a echo so it wouldn't work."

Xanthus grumbled "no....i don't drink"

"No, I don't need internet or whatever. I just need a connection. For example, your device sends a request to the central server of whatever you need, and the server sends back the HTML of the website or whatever you're needing. I can use that connection. Or, simple connections will work." Mel explained.

"Well, your loss!" Reflected!Frisk drank all three cups of orange juice. "Orange juice is good for you. Anyways, you lost to me in chess. Now what? You owe me?"
