Pure nodded and looked at the two,"How long have you been here? I could take you both out."

Aquilo gently pries the scroll from under the claw and reads it

"It's not that simple. You can't leave unless The Queen lets you. And The Queen doesn't let anybody leave."

"Leaving? That's wishful thinking." Sylvanna sighs. "No, we're destined to be miners, and so shall our children and our children's children. We're stuck here, and anybody who comes here is also stuck. If The Queen finds you here, she won't let you leave. She probably already knows, anyways."

For the first time, Pure notices heavy collars on both Zolnixies necks. They seem to be simple iron, but they're attached to a chain, which is attached to an iron bar running across the ceiling.
