He pours a little in the Nixi's mouth then she instantly perks up as she lets out a small whimper. She rubs her head against you as she gets back up to her paws.

I walk to the little store and observe the wares before asking a question, " I don't have much in the way of money right now, do you know how I can earn some, or what is of value?"

You can earn money by raiding dragon caves (dangerous) or selling items.
"I do have some food for 5 gold and some warm clothes for 10 gold if you would like them." (Food lasts for eating it 5 times)
