Pretty sure the Forgotten Tomb needs pets that have high natural stat- that is, it doesn't count equipment bonuses, only Base+Proficiency.
So what most people do is swap in a Mission pet for the needed stat.

I used pets that gota lot of bonuses from equipment, but I guess maybe it didnt affect it.

It's been a while, so I can't quite remember, but I believe the seals have Old Sylestian writing you have to translate. Those tell you which seal is which.

You should have seen the first coded message that Jinxie partly translated. Thats fairly easy to translate if you fill in the words with the appropriate letters. Then keep track of which symbol is which letter.
If you cant do that, look at Amaroks walkthrough.

You can expand your party by going to the Sylesti Plaza at Esiors Haven. You expand it to three pets at the Sanctuary of Sarielles Plaza.
