Nope, my level 15 sylesti has it and my level 12 doesn't.

Please help: I came across the scripted event and I pressed 'capture pet', then my entire screen went white and the only button was the 'stuck in battle button' so I had to press it to get out and than the script hasn't shown up again..

I'm confused. I know how to capture a Sylesti, but when I go to William the Hunter to expand my party max, it says I still need to learn how to capture one. He says that I need to go to the Quest Board to see if anyone will help me, but there's nobody there. Technically Jinxie already helped me, when she taught me how to capture one. I don't know if this is a glitch or if I have to wait until a specific story line, or if I'm completely missing something. Can someone help?

Anyone know whats up? I completed the quest of catching the pet, I even marked it off on the quest list, however i cannot seem to unlock the part about making your party larger, so i am stuck to one in my party.

based on what you're saying, I believe you explored until you got the scripted event that did not require you to use a trap to get the pet right? If so, you should have a satchel from completing the quest. You'll have to open the satchel for the tutorial to move on.

If you've already opened the satchel and still can;t move on, then you should post in the bug forum.

First I can't seem to find the capture ability in my screen, and when i use a trap it don't count towards the quest. Can I get a little bit of help in this one? Edit: Hmmm, seems to have fixed it self once I came across a sleeping Sylesti and caught it.

so you have to come across a sleeping sylesti to capture it?

I can't remember if it was sleeping or not, but basically if you come across an event that says there is a sylesti, and asks if you want to capture it or not, that is the sylesti you need to "capture" to finish the quest.
