I agree with everything scathreoite and dinnerbone said/drew, but i also still have a bit of an issue with the females hind leg. it looks too thin and it sticks out towards us like its broken? it just looks wrong to me, dont know what it is.

Beautiful Krin!! I felt like the Nytes have needed a revamp for a while now, especially the hatchlings but the adults too! I do have to say that I feel on the male adult that it would help if the tail wasnt behind it, because my first thought was that the tail looked like something coming out of its back, or something on the wing. I personally think it would be better if it was curled behind it, or was in the same position but on the front. Either way, great job! Love them!!

I agree with Dinnerbone, they need more regal and fierce traits. However I actually really love the 3 clawed front feet <3 I agree with Scaths point, the males hind back needs to be raised a bit. His pose is sort of static. Fawncatuslover pointed out that the females hind leg looks a bit mangled and I do also agree with that.

I think its the way it sticks out and how the thigh is shaped.

I would also love to see more of the females back! Its a bit crowded and covered back there.

Maybe if the feathers were more blended together, so that it was only the tips that really had outlines it would look less scruffy?
I'm gonna post some birds with crests as example of how bird's crests generally look fairly smooth/ individual feathers are reasonably hard to tell apart

(fun fact the red-crested one is male and the yellow is female... and I have no clue what the crest-down one is because I cannot see its crest at all)

Anyway, yeah, in the current nytes you can only see the occasional line and some sticky-up messy feathers of the crest

Eeeeeeeeee! Me loves them. Wants a fluffy stuffed nytekrie toy now.

I feel like the faces are too fluffy. They look better when they are more sleek. I like the way the original line art looks kinda fierce. I just really don't think the fluffy face/head look right.

I would like it if the female was in a different pose for runes/ patterns/armor to be more visible. That would take even more work i imagine...
I got bored so i did a sketch, pretty much left the head/face alone.


Still really excited to see how the final art will turn out, regardless if the pose is changed or not :D
