I carved a kelpari since they're my favorites. I had to uh use some toothpicks to hold the central part in place but you can't see them.

Here we go. I decided to do a cat that I had drawn on my arm during my trip to Alaska. As you can see by the last photo, one of my cats approve of it.

Here's mine.

I started by tracing an outline of every species on Sylestia with pencil. Then I took a pen and free-handed the details (spikes, teeth, feathers, accessories, etc.).

Originally I was planning on doing all of them on the pumpkin, but lost my patience and decided to just pick one. I chose the Kelpari (one of my favorite species). Each one has one or two mutations, it's close to Halloween after all and they needed to be "in costume." I had a Corrupted Aeridini, Phoenix Aurleon, Enchanted Pixie Bulbori, Dragon Draeyl, Bone Ghost Faelora, Peacock Ferikki, Druid Griffi, Unicorn Kelpari, Phaoroh Lighira, Lynx Luffox, Dragonfly Lunemara, Steampunk Lupora, Shaman Morkko, Lightning Superhero Nephini, Triceratops Ny'Vene, Cockatoo Nytekrie, Aristocrat Puffadore, Circus Performer Qitari, Skeleton Ryori, Leafy Sea Dragon Sylvorpa, Moth Vulnyx, and a Sugar Plum Princess Zolnoxi. The Unicorn Kelpari is the one I carved.

I might add more on the other side, but I think I'm done with pumpkin carving. I hate it. Absolutely loathe it. This might just be my first and last time entering this contest because I really struggled with the actual carving portion of this...yep, most likely never doing this again. xD

Just a pumpkin, figured out im allergic as well, but this pumpkin smelled nutty, very good pumpkin, frisbee shaped

Some sort of dragon I suppose? Carved with a small butchers knife.

Here goes my first ever attempt at pumpkin carving :D


Started by collecting all of my materials, I have my pumpkin, craft knives, pencil, spoon and some sylesti's which I printed, I missed putting in a gluestick and the light i used to light it up as they were afterthoughts xD.
(The green pumpkin was an insurance policy in case I botched my first attempt XD)


I then cut off the top to create an opening.


Then I scraped out the insides.

Next I chose which Sylesti I wnated to use and also drew a smiling crescent moon to add a bit of detail. I then glued both of these onto the pumpkin.

Next I went trhrough and cut along the main lines of both items. Once that was done I washed the pumpkin to rub off the glue and paper.


I then went through and carved out around my two shapes and also cut out/poked in some stars.


And here it is lit up :) I think he looks kinda cute xD

i think i did ok (not my best but definately not my worst) but I had "some" interference
but asdide from that i have to thank my mom for getting me a pumpkin (i was too sick to go out) and for helping me on my pumpkin a smol bit (getting the proportions right) NO I DID NOT TRACE (i used a reference picture but i did not trace)
