Vernik was still hissing at the guards as he shot them icy glares. He huffed and turned to Lazi, who was talking to one of the dragons in the market, finally turning around with an apple in her talon.
"This is all i could get" Lazi hissed softly looking disgruntle "There goes my paycheck."
They sat down... resting, not ready for the rest of the day, at least he wasn't ready for the day.

Cesura saw the black dragon hissing angrily at the guards. The white one held an apple. They both looked tired. Just like everyone else in this forsaken city. She thought.

(the administrator told everyone that rations will no longer be handed out daily and instead be handed out weekly. Everyone is very salty about this. That's it honesty)

Tutellor and Hasira

No...food? Tutellor blinked. This was all they survived on. Hasira...she was thinner than she should be. He could make do, but she....

"What?" Hasira gazed up at him, blue eyes pooling. "But...we'll starve." She turned away from him, blinking back angry tears. Tutellor put his talons on her shoulder.

"Ri. Ri, you can't do this right now." She clenched her jaw, refusing to look at him again. He knew that she knew he was right.

Cesura noticed two other dragons in the clearing. One brown one pearly white. The white one was thin just like her. Her stomach growled loudly. The hunger suppressant from earlier had worn off. That was my last one. She though. What will I do now?

Tutellor and Hasira

Hasira looked down at her talons, hugging herself with her wings. She could see her scales grow an ever so slight pink and willed them to resolve themselves. This wouldn't help anything.

She felt a chill on her neck despite the blistering sun. Like she was being watched. Her head snapped around in accusation, locking eyes with another dragoness. She elbowed Tutellor in the side, and he turned to look as well.

The dragons looked at Cesura very suddenly. She sent them a meaningful look: I know how you feel

Cesura had found those who were suffering just like her. Now she just had to get them on her side. She swept her tail in a small arc across the shaded ground where she sat. She just had to will them to talk to her...

Tutellor and Hasira

Tutellor glanced at Hasira. "I think she wants to talk to us."

She turned back to him, questioning. "You...want me to talk to her?"

"No." He tipped his horns towards her. "WE will talk to her." Tutellor looked back in the other direction, assessing the dragoness. There was something deliberate about her.

Hasira felt sick to her stomach. Something told her that this dragon could change their lives. She kind of made her nervous, in a way, but she couldn't pinpoint why.

Cesura looked around. They were still out in the open. She stood up the extent of ho thin she was now fully visible. She walked towards a narrow street before looking back at the two dragons. She motioned for them to follow her before walking away, trying to find a more private place to talk.
