how do you enconter a pooka? i tried fighting some named i found but it wasnt a pooka

crap i was hoping i could finally get an essence but i'd be extremly lucky to get a ticket

What is the purpose of the Discard pile? Unless there is a finite number of cards per each value, and we know how many there are of each, it does not convey any information.

The deck contains only ten cards, 1 through 10. The Discard Pile exists to give you a bit more guessing information to determine your bet.


For example:

Your Cards: 4 + 7
Discard Pile: 10 + 3
Opponent: 8 + ?

If you had initially guessed "Tied", you now know that is impossible and should change to either Lower or Higher. As the only combination that could Tie would be 8 + 3, but the 3 is already discarded.

They are just a random encounter from either Sweet Blossom Orchard or Astryl's Tranquility. You must be using a party of pets Level 59 or lower, though.

Is there a 10 card, or not? I don't recall having seen one, but the descriptions seem to imply there is one.

Nevermind, right after I posted this it showed up.

A couple times now I've gotten 9 and 10 in my hand. That makes it easy xD

Edit: one where I had 1 and 2, and opponent had 9 and 10. This is the best round.

Here we see a depiction of the times when "blue player" will win and when "orange player" will win. Across the axes are the cards in each hand (1+2, 1+3, etc.) with the totals above them.

A black box means that combination cannot occur; both players would have to have the same card, and that's not possible.
A gray box means the players tie.
An orange box means "orange player" wins this combination.
A blue box means "blue player" wins this combination.

(Let me know if anyone has trouble with the colors I've used... I can see about making a more visually distinct version.)
