I'm not sure if this is allowed here but I found Gold, but probably not in a way that's allowed. I don't see anything about it in the rules - if the words are horizontal/vertical only, or if they're diagonal or even backwards or in a square form. Can anyone shed some light on this?

The words have to be in a straight line. Either right-to-left, left-to-right, straight upwards, straight downwards, or any sort of diagonal (up to the right, down to the right, up to the left, or down to the left). But they do have to be in a straight line. :)

For words that have others in them - Lucky and The Lucky Pot - if I find the longer one does the other count also?

You can use whatever service you have available as long as we are able to view the link.
We would ask that wherever you do end up hosting it that it just isn't publicly available/easy to find. So typically you can have the image be private and only viewable if you share the direct link for it.

The words can be backwards, yep.
And no, each word has its own individual hidden placement in the puzzle. So there is a 'The Lucky Pot' and then a separate 'Lucky' in the puzzle somewhere.
