I'm guessing thier skeletons (and the whole legs thing) may be why seals have legends about being able to take off their skin and become women in some European countries.

Re the presence or absence of Sylvorpa gill filaments, before their re-vamp the filaments were visible. I'll see if I can find a picture.

here are some
and they don't really look like they're filamented like axolotl gills, more like they're just thin sheet of skin. You CAN see they seem? to be intended to be filamented in the revamped ones though

I do miss the original Sylvorpa males. I think perhaps I remembered the gills/fins/head things as filamented because of the ripples in their edges. The rippled edges looked very nice indeed. I wonder why the admins deleted the ripples and severely reduced the edges? The original whiskers for the males also looked better than the current ones do, IMO.
