She started to squirm. "L-let's just continue this way." She started walking forward, eyeing the elf cautiously.

(I'm going to get off now, sorry.)

"Fine." Nikkie grumbles, shooting the elf one last glance. The elf answers his glare with a smile, not making any move to stop the two.
Nikkie sighs, closing his eyes and tromping next to Kua, holding his injured shoulder, applying pressure and hoping it would stop bleeding after a while. If the elf had accidentally hit a main artery, there was no telling how long Nikkie had to live.
There was no telling how long anyone had to live.

The floor of the passage is strewn with white fragments of bones, skulls and femurs poking out of the ground occasionally. Dust billows from behind the group. Nikkie turns to find the passage exit blocked off, a wall of stone preventing them from heading back to the only way in or out. The elf had disappeared as well.

Starter ~

The Labyrinth is a feared place, full of monsters and tributes. No one has managed to escape the place. It is a good thing, though, that there are chosen tributes. With every tribute, the monsters are held off for a month longer.
No one knows how the tributes are chosen, just that they are and there are two put in each month.
You were chosen, and now, here you are, inside the Labyrinth, your fate sealed as the doors slam shut behind you.
(I am assuming you - since you are a phoenix - glow slightly. Don't kill me, that's just how I imagine phoenix' =3)
The regular looking human next to you takes a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves. However, at a second glance, you realize that the human is extending and retracting claws from their knuckles. It appears the 'human' is actually a shifter. Most likely some pretador. What type, you don't know yet.

Vagabond growled. Whoever did this would have to pay! Looking over at the "human", he hoped they weren't hostile. Who knows what he'd find?
