the others file into the room, selecting their beds and sitting down awkwardly. the silence is defeating, engulfing everything in it, making it extremely uncomfortable. "so." i start, not knowing what to say next. "that was..."

Maple sat on her bed silently not truly knowing what to actually say, she just tapped her finger on the blankets just listening to the others talk

I follow the others, ears ringing and feeling..... incredibly..... worn out.

"right..." i trail off, pulling the covers over my head. that went well. not. so, now i have a power i can't explain, let alone control, and a group of strangers who aren't exactly the most friendly people. what have i gotten myself into? i should have stayed home. i should have stayed home and helped my mom make dinner. i would be sitting at the island right now, helping mom roll the dough for dessert and listening to music, not just sitting here in a suffocating silence with my face buried in a pillow.
