You can see a small pile of flesh behind her, seemingly dead, but the infection seems to be in her now

I look at her sadly and take the egg and start to run

She gives a knowing look at your fading presence before slumping to the ground. She continues to claw at the open wound to get the arms and eyes out, but it only speards the infection even more
