James leaned against Scout, the closest one to him, because he barely had anything in him to will himself to live...Harriette had helped him so much and without her, his heart wanted to stop as if that would help.

Connor put his hadn on Jame's shoulder. As if that would help

OWen gave him a sympathetic look-he'd just had his own close-to-home experience just a day ago (John is his little brother)

The officer who was clearly in charge eyed the terrified, sobbing, group of kids. "Get in the car," he said firmly, but not too apathetically. One officer took the body. "This won't take long."

Already sitting in the car was a resigned looking boy with dirty blonde hair. "Um. Hi?"

Nicote mttered something about "how were everyone gonna fit in that thing*

Zena hopped in. "Hi."

Owen and Nic somehow got a hysterical (but as muc now) Orkha in. Cole shrugged, then got in (yes, he was hidig n in the bushes. Because guess who had to keep tabs on 5 younger siblings)

James gave a longing look after his sister, and then got in the car, Scout piling in after him.
"I'm sorry." She said quietly. "I know how it is to loose someone."
James tried to smile, but the action seemed so foreign.

"Can you two stop bickering? Please? Not a good time." Owen interjected.

Scout glanced at the two. "You have seen the officer for the tenth time this year? If it's your dad or something that is understandable, but...seriously?"
