"My name is Hatter," He said smirking as he stared at Kiyo, "He is just embarrassed because this kid branded something into his head."
"I don't know what you mean by vet me but it better not be what I think it is," He frowned, "Also I suggest not threatening people like that," He said cheekily ignorance blazing in his eyes like fire.

Kiyo couldn't hold back a smirk. Talking to Rei like that already.. This kid was going to have a rough first day.

Rei

She sat up a bit straighter upon Hatter's words.
"While I understand you are new, there are three things you need to know. One, you are lucky to be here, so act like it. Two, this gang is family, so treat my people like you are lucky to have them."
She stood, walking over to Hatter, summoning a thorny vine that threatened him eerily, barely wrapping itself around one of his ankles. "Three, I'm the top dog here, so cross me, and you'll be lucky to survive. I'd say you could ask the last two bit to question me, but you have to dig a good six feet to get to him."
She drew her vines back, moving away from him with a now relaxed expression.
"Never go against orders. I give orders to keep people alive and to achieve a greater purpose. In summary, don't be an idiot like Kiyo and you'll be fine. Get outta' here, Layla will show you around."

With her little speech finished, she called Layla in to come and collect Hatter. "Layla, I'm a bit busy, so give this guy a rundown. I'll watch out for your friend here. I have some questions to ask when He wakes."

In no more than a moment, her attention was turned to Kiyo.
"Where is Mr.Allen, who branded you, and why did you let them escape."
She asked this with a stern and threatening tone. Kiyo better had choose his words carefully.

"Animal whisperer, good to know."
Kim sat in her seat, adjusting just a bit.
"I had never really like animals till I found this Idiot on the streets one morning. Poor pup was hungry and too derpy to care for himself"

He glared at her, not submitting to her in any way, she might be the top dog but that didn't mean she could control him. He didn't even notice the threat and shrugged to acknowledge he didn't care.
"Let me tell you one thing about me, you can be intimidating all you want but in the end I don't fear death, but the real question is do you?"
He turned away, pulling his hand away from Lyla, giving her an aggressive 'don't touch me' look.

Hatter's gaze seemed to soften for just a second before going back to it's normal cold look.
"Don't touch me," He snapped his voice lower then usual, showing the slightest hint of gentleness, "I don't care much about that top dog. She acts all intimidating to get us to bow before her. I'm not scared of her and neither should you be."
