I'll be cleaning out my stables over the next few days to get ready for the flood of Max Powah Baybehs. I'll be sure to keep y'all updated on the project's progress and ping once the first round of breeding has officially started. I may wait until after Christmas just to make sure that I wont have any family responsibilities to take care of when it's time to philter, like, 50 eggs at once.

Unless the community has a strong partiality for a certain other theme, I'll be doing this with my Sunsong Gazanias. I don't know if a max-stat vorpa project has ever been attempted, but regardless, I'm doing it. (Who says Fables should have all the fun?) Anyway, I'm pinging because I'd like to know if anyone else is interested in it, and if so, what traits you'd most like to see for the endgame. I have at least one PB with every trait available during Sunsong's release except for Water Sprite, so anything else is doable. Odds are, the final generation will not be completely homogeneous in terms of traits, but I can work in higher probabilities of certain trait combinations. Any contributions, such a philters, pies, or PB offspring with desired traits to widen the gene pool, would be greatly appreciated. All contributors will receive offspring from the project as a thank you gift. I have a personal taste for these traits, but I like nearly all of them, so... What say you, vorpa enthusiasts? You game?

SparklingGanymede, as you well know I've got my own Sunsong thingy going on (all those breedings with your critters, trying to get G1 Clown Triggerfish, Alpine Newt, and Iridescence all together). I see you already have lots of help with your stat project (way to be awesome, everyone!), so if you think you need more, I'm going to leave it to you to find the Sunsongs you want in my stables.

I just didn't want you to think I'm not a helper! ^.^

In other news, my "Jin Chan/Golden Toad" and "Nightmare Before Christmas" breeding projects are off to splendid starts! Second generations have had a lot of perfect trait outcomes right off the bat. So exciting.

So...anyone wanna toss out some speculation about Winter Fest? Anyone have their fingers crossed for something in particular? Since I'm seeing the end of my 5-vis Emperor project after most of this year, I'm kinda 50/50 about Emperors coming back. In a way, I'm kinda burnt out on breeding them after such a tedious project. But, on the other hand...if we have more new genes and mutations in a few weeks, I'm probably going to be sucked right back in. Emperors have sorta been my favorite theme. I'm pretty "meh" about Tyrielle's Minion...we have so many monochromatic blue-colored themes. Festives...sigh. I had a bad experience with a Festive once. Now, I don't own any. You could say I'm sorta "meh" about them too. Do you guys think we'll have a Bakery again?

What kind of colors would you guys like to see in a new 'Vorpa theme? I think SpaceElf1 and I (and others, probably?) were both pretty disappointed when the Mantis Shrimp theme wasn't more bright/neon/rainbow. I'd like to see a really BRIGHT theme...maybe even black base colors with neon traits.

To everybody: my DL Vorpa egg hatched out...another...boy... :(

I mean, he's lovely, but every single DL egg I've ever acquired has hatched out a male.

What do you think, folks? Should I just give up on getting a female? Should I genderswap him just to have at least one girl? Should I keep trying?

Otherwise, it's been a good Vorpa week so far in my Hatchery. Here's the third tadpole--

I accidentally gave her the same name as another LN Vorpa, so when she becomes a teen, she'll get a Philter of Amnesia and be renamed "Shonisaurus."

Awwww. At least the Dark Love bab is suuuper cute.
