"Twilightarrow was a very nurturing mother, and never rejected any of her broods," the man says, marking something on your forms. "That puts Skywhisper in favour of fathering rejected eggs." He puts all the paperwork back into the filing drawer and disappears up a set of stairs for a few minutes.
When he comes back, he is carrying one of the sacks of eggs. He deposits it in front of you. "If an egg doesn't hatch by the end of this week, then it won't hatch at all. Come back here then if you have any hatchlings so they can be registered with the Elven Aeries. If you don't come back at all you will be at risk of a fine or a forced favour and at worst imprisonment. No matter if you get hatchlings or not you come back to report the results. Alright?"
.
"Understood."
I call Skywhisper back and return to the dwarf.

(Hmm)
The arrow comes out cleanly, but Balthur still yelps in pain. "Bandages, bandages!" he hisses.

Crimson barks that she's going to go hunting with Emberpaw - the other Hellhound - and bounds off into the grassland with him. Shootingstar sticks around while the two Phoenix fly off to join them.

Using your Familiar bond, you call Skywhisper to you. He comes a few minutes later, gently poking at the bag. "They're still warm. Better get the Dwarf his two and let me take care of the third. That is, if we are keeping one."

"Okay be careful," I tell them.

Shootingstar begins to graze on the rain-sodden grass, keeping an eye on you while the others are off hunting.

"Would the dwarf have to register it?" I ask Skywhisper.

Skywhisper shrugs. "If he wants to keep them, then that's the last thing he'll do. Griffins are supposed to be Elf-only Familiars. All we'll have to say is that, whichever ones he takes, died." He looks you in the eyes for a second. "Are we looking after one of them?"
