The powerful sylesti let out a roar of defience, it's owner quickly rushed in to see what was wrong. Only to find that the sylesti had "accidently" knocked over a vase. The owner smiled and gave his sylesti's beautiful coat a brush. "next time just come get me" he muttered. the sylesti bowed it's head in agreement

The shy little Sylesti slowly approached the camp. She sniffed the snoring elves on the ground cautiously, making sure they were all asleep. Once satisfied that they were sleeping, she quickly sneaked into their food bag, grabbed a thick piece of salt pork, and scurried into the shadowy forest, blending in with her surroundings.

She gazed down to the void below, then looked back nervously at her newly grown, glowing wings. Her mother touched her rainbow-colored heart on her forehead encouragingly. She takes a deep breath, takes a few steps back, then spreads her wings and hops of the cliff. Her mother dives down toward her, ready to steady her if she fails. The little sylesti manages to spread her wings and suddenly flies upward, smiling breathlessly in delight.

The little sylesti crawled up onto the windowsill and peered inside. There she was, he had finally found her. It had been an eternity since the day she had been taken from him by the human, his tiny heart beat fast as he looked at her. But then the human entered the room followed by another male. His old mate ran happily over to her captor and sniffed at his feet before turning to the male and nuzzling his neck. The human was carrying a hatchling in his arms as he sat on a couch the two adult sylesti joined him. The hatchling looked like her... he climbed down from the windowsill and slipped away into the night, alone.

Never was she seen,
and also very keen.
She set her sights high,
but instead she died.
Her legacy lives on in the tales of horror.
She is the grim reaper and this is her hour.

The ancient sylesti opened its eyes. The temple had been disturbed. It stood slowly, the eons worth of dust and dried clay which had hardened into a shell around the sentinel cracked and fell away revealing its body. It's colours, faded by the passage of time showed what was once a majestic and beautiful beast. As it raised itself to its full height, runes flared into existence all over its body and its eyes began to glow. The intruder would not survive should they be judged unworthy by this ancient guardian.

Water soaking it to the skin, the sylesti mother shakes herself before pulling her hatchling out of the water by the scruff of its neck. Her fur, the perfect camouflage in the forests, began to fluff back out in the afternoon sunlight. Intelligent eyes searched the clearing for any predators, and then, deeming it safe, she yipped to her offspring and they set out into the woods.

She and her kin charged into battle with their elves against the undead warriors. Her brother butted a knight with is antlers at she and her elf engaged a mage in a battle. Darting this way and that, she was a blur of green, with only the pink flowers on her legs and the elf harness gave her away. As she leaped out of the way of a blast, she hoped that this battle would end soon and well.

Upon the lake, reflected stars.
Below her surface where the bodies are.
One soul alone survives his kind to mourn their loss.
The ones who took his home away.
