Ilya hummed, "Wait here" she dashed off, coming back carrying a set of blue steps and she placed them by Astraeus. She then pulled the stirrups down off the saddle and tightened the girth, putting the reins over Astraeus' head. She went around to the other side, taking the reins from you, "Put your left foot in the stirrup" (after going up the stairs..) "And then pull your leg over, then take the reins" she gave you an encouraging smile. You'd seem other instructors on horses earlier to see how to hold the reins and have both feet in the stirrup.

Mel narrowed her eyes in concentration as she followed Ilya's instructions word by word, trying to mimic what she saw from the other teachers and instructors... She pulled herself up into Astraeus, first a bit wobbly, but slowly getting the hang of it until she could confidently sit on the horse.

Ilya hummed and moved your hand a bit and take your toes down upwards, the stirrup on the balls of your feet. She gave a smile and took the reins by the side, looking around anxiously, "I'll give you a quick walk, but shh, the instructors'll get mad."

Eventing is a mixture of dressage, cross country and show jumping. The cross country teacher was being crowded and a boy slipped in, walking over towards Lionel Herring. They began talking in hushed voices. Melissa Kingswood was being talked to. The other teachers were just petting their horses, waiting to see if anyone at all would be interested.
I quickly head over to the Dressage teacher, figuring I would start there. I look around the jumble of people and try to find the teacher

You found that you couldn't, as the saddle slipped down and was now on Elpidas stomach and you fell backwards. From the fall, Elpidas ears pinned back and she trotted, almost stepping on you in the process. Loki yanked her back, holding his hand out, "Hang on, I haven't even done the girth up. We need to be in the hall first, duh. Do you think these reins split so I can have one end and you the other?" he rolled his eyes. Lets say you can get your foot in the stirrup, but she is taller than you. it isn't very safe to ride a horse/ pony smaller than you x3


I nod gingerly rubbing my head. and follow him

She shook her head, "Most likely dressage for now, as he is your horse." she smiled, indicating with her hand for you to follow her back into leading Roman

Kira followed obediently excited to see what she would learn her violet eyes bright and all smiles

(PS I got to collect a stallion today! pretty cool!)

"Okay..." Mel smiled nervously and took a few deep breaths to calm down. She'd read in books that a horse can sense its rider's emotions.

Melissa Kingswood, the dressage teacher, had already left with a student. You'd have to catch her after the lesson. it seemed like instructors were starting to take the students and bring their horses in, probably what Melissa had gone and done.

Loki righted the saddle and trotted Elpida in, jogging in. He then did up the girth and adjusted the stirrups, "Want the steps?" he smirked in a teasing motion.

She led you back into the riding hall. "Can you hold Roman?" she gave you a small smile

Ilya held the reins with one of her hand, the horse walked slowly. It was a nice-feeling movement, quite comfortable and slow. She looked up at you, smiling with a wide grin.
