Harlin didn't show any offense towards that, because he knew Derek was sincere about it not being intended. He nodded once, a gentle smile still on his features. He followed Derek over to the empty seats, sitting down and looking up at him.
"I-" He was a bit taken aback by the compliments, which was a little odd since he got them normally. To him though, hearing it from Derek caught him off guard. "T-Thank you, that means a lot."
Harlin also stopped a minute to look at his face, and he noticed Derek was smiling, which wasn't a look you saw often on his face.
"A smile doesn't look too bad on you there, Derek." He said in an almost teasing tone and laughed a bit.

Alice just couldn't seem to get herself tired so instead she went outside in a quite fashion. Even footsteps could be heard in the courtyard as she watched the final glimmers of the setting sun fall to the unknown. She sighed deeply with a certain content. She was glad that the day was over.
