Final Chapter

Everyone gathers in a circle and follows the tome's instructions as precisely as they can. The three sylesties in the centre glow brightly and begin to scream in pain as their bodies are contorted and twisted together into one being. Someone shouts to stop the ritual, but it's too late. If the group were to stop now who knows what condition the faelora, kelpari and draeyl would be left in afterwards.

Everything glows a bright white light and you are blinded. Finally a creature emerges...



Combining the sylesties created a ny'vene! "BRAVO, BRAVO." A voice echoes through the chamber followed by clapping and a figure emerges from the fog coming from the most western wall.



The figure is chancellor Aedernis, the man who gave you your quest to defeat Darkwind in the first place. Before you can ask him anything he speaks, as if he could read your mind, "Yes, I set you on your quest. You fools were suppose to perish and never find this beautiful creature," he motions to Darkwind who is now awake and whimpering in her chains. "When I heard Darkwind call for you I knew you had gotten the third forest guardian and so I came here, my hideout, right away. You see, I couldn't have you discovering Darkwind here. You adventurers and Darkwind would make a formidable foe against me when I try to rule Ethernia for myself! And now... it is time you die!"

MEANWHILE.....

Hemmons presses the symbols in this order: earth, water, fire. With each touch their hands burn slightly and the final touch is so hot Hemmons screams and pulls back. The ground shakes and the stone opens into the chamber below, right above Darkwind. Hemmons looks at their hands again, and sees no damage... how odd. They peer into the opening and see the ny'venes and chancellor Aedernis. Darkwind's chains glow and then break, Hemmons element puzzle must have triggered them.

The ny'vene roars in joy and helps Hemmons into the chamber. Chancellor Aedernis is about to cast a powerful spell when both ny'venes charge him and grab him by the arms and legs with their jaws. "No, no! You foul beasts! Put me down this instant." The ny'venes chomp down hard and bits of Aedernis fall to their feet.

Darkwind looks at the group and telepathically communicates, "Thank you for freeing me adventurers. With this ny'vene we can now become one, become the forest guardian once more and rejoin the ents." The ny'venes face each other and twist and contort, just as the group saw earlier. Finally, a bright light and then the forest guardian emerges.



"Please take these sylesties Aerdernis held captive and his hidden riches as a reward for saving our forest," and with that the ny'vene flies through the opening in the ceiling and into the sky. The stone staircase rebuilds itself and the eastern wall opens into a hidden room, filled with a chest of 34000 gold and starved sylesties who couldn't be happier to see the group.

Congratulations! The following adventurers made it to the end: Hemmons, Wonderfulb2uty, Thrackerzod, Mewzzer, Eveanw, Sessi, ColonelHazard, Komadori. Each person receives 4250 gold from the chest! Pet prizes will be distributed shortly.
