Piper shrugged, not noticing the reaper

He comes back out, not glancing at them, he holds his suitcase in one hand and a sword in the other. He walks off, stopping and standing there for a moment before a black charger speeds up with a loud purr. He opens the back seat, throwing his stuff in before slamming it closed and getting in the front seat. It speeds off, leaving tire tracks in the grass.

Nick wonders where in the world he could be going to, then figures he's probably going all the way back to the palace. Ian nudges Nick. "You're staring at nothing again."

Nick started to do the thing that he did again, biting his lip, running a hand through his hair and staring at nothing while he thought. But the palace was so far away...
