I'm old enough to have read the comics X-Men, Iron Man, Spider-Man, etc. The X-men are mutant humans who each have a special power (one can read minds, one can move metal, one shoots lasers from his eyes, one has wolverine-like claws that can come out of his knuckles when he fights, etc etc.) The balance of power goes back and forth over the years with humans alternately being grateful for their help or afraid of them and ready to obliterate every mutant on the planet. Even the mutants are split between the ones who feel obligated to use their powers for the good of everyone on the planet and the ones who think humans have outlived their usefulness and ought to be done away with to make room for the "new order".

Darn, I thought I wasn't the only insane one here >w<
Pour exempler: I got into the game series Kingdom Hearts... and I gotta say, weirded me out, but I liked it, so I wrote the answer to life, the universe, and everything on my computer screen (42) in large, friendly letters and felt better-
but also it's a school computer....
So yes, I happen to be crazy XD

After I got out of nuclear medicine school in 1995 I had a hard time finding a job. I finally got offered one in California. I knew no one there and it was 2500 miles away from WV, but what the hey. I took the job, gave 2 weeks' notice at my current job, packed what would fit in my car (Ford Tempo), jumped in and drove to California in 3 days' time so I could get my TB test to start work on Tuesday. I stayed in a hostel run by the hospital for 4 nights starting Tuesday until I found an apartment and lived on less than $100 that was left in my bank account for 3 weeks until I got paid. That meant no furniture, so I slept on the floor on top of my comforter, read a lot, sat on the staircase and blessed my mom for making me take a box full of kitchen stuff.
People seem to think that was crazy, for some reason.

Um this thingy?
Outfit: I get cold easily, as you know ;P. It has many layers. So do I. The innocent one, like everyone sees, the one that writes innapropriate messages on bus windows, and the one Cal sees during sleepovers when we watch YouTube until two in the morning and laugh our heads off.
Head.: I think it might be pretty obvious, but yes, everyone thinks I am angelic. And I try to be a good person. Even though sometimes you know I discreetly flip teachers off.
Lantern: I am not a leader. But I try to show people the bright side of things, I guess? [Cana] can testify to my optimism xD
Wings: Okay, how do you even fly with these? They are along the same lines as the lantern.
Lion thingy: Yes, everyone thinks I'm innocent and sweet and such, which is really annoying, but they should see me when someone p*sses off my friends.
Background: Uhh, it is nice looking? XD Also, a reminder to [Cana] that darkness is pretty :D
My much more depressing one:
The base looks like me. Although build-wise, the male one would probably suit me better.
Background: That's a Shadow Stalker [Sadness]. Yes, I am almost always sad somewhere. Why? I don't know, but it's still always there. Hiding in the back. Even if you can't see it.
Head: That brings us to this. The blindfold. I charge into things blindly. I have no idea what my future is. And sometimes, I bury my head in the sand because I want to hide from the reality of things. I hide rather than face things. Not a mask. I wear my heart on my sleeve, so to speak.
Outfit: I love this outfit. I've done my share, and probably more, of hurting. Physically and emotionally. But I'm still standing, am I right?
Wings: Yes, there is a bright side to all this sadness and I am ready to set things (people?) on fire and fight even if it's not for my sake. Also, I have a hell of a temper.
Held: That's like hope, I guess. For the future to be better, maybe? Yes, I've been waiting for too long and it's worn down but it's still there - isn't it? Sometimes, I don't know, because I'm blindfolded :P
