So, just throwing this out there~ I know we have Faelora and Aeridini, but I think it would be really cool to have an actual living plant type of pet~ one with bark and roots and the like~
I did a bit of concept work~
I currently only have a base and a single mutation for it.
Any other ideas would be welcome~ :O

a plant-based pet sounds so cool! it would be pretty funny to train it in the fire proficiency tree...
you could do a willow leaf mutation, a pine needle mutation, a maple mutation.
you could make one of its gene designs be like a rainbow eucalyptus tree (those things are so surreal), or maby a "carved" gene design.

I love the idea where there are more plant based animals... or maybe plant creatures?

Do you mind if I do some artwork involving the idea of a plant sylesti, but change the design? Words cannot describe how cool this idea is. :D

Love the plant-based pet! Looks wonderful, Eimell!
I wonder would it still be classified as a "sylesti" though? We do have sylesties that are at least part plant or have a close enough symbiotic relationship that they look like one species. But what if we had plant based pets as their own group. What if we also had a mineral based group as well? Or is "sylesti" some indication more of the types of powers that a creature has the potential to wield? That any creature that can wield the power of the six Sylestia gods a sylesti?
Sorry for the rambling but it just got my mind spinning a bit. I think it's wonderful and would love to see the plant based species regardless of what it would be categorized as.

Since I didn't ping you in the first post and I finally thought of some ideas pinging you in a second post some ideas.
Flower/leaf/grass mane - there's actually probably several ways to do manes on this guy since being a plant there's all sorts of leaves and flowers. I think the lion type mane could be interesting but also the long flowing ones like a horse. Uranium's willow leaf mutation idea might be neat as a long trailing mane and tail.
Thorn back - spiky thorns going down the back
Creeping growth - Probably a better prettier name but where there's patches of leaves or soft grass with flowers appearing in patches. Maybe mostly along the back and then here and there along the legs.
Antlers/Horns - One antler idea is just this sorta low hanging branch coming down from both sides sorta sweeping towards it's back. I'd also like to see something like a kirin horn where it's sorta like a single short deer antler.
So, just throwing this out there~ I know we have Faelora and Aeridini, but I think it would be really cool to have an actual living plant type of pet~ one with bark and roots and the like~
