Kody's coughing ceases but his breathe is still coming out ragged and it sound painful.
He sits back up pushing his back against the wall and leaning on it as he takes deep breaths hoping it will help.
He looks up at you with a worried look in his eyes, "Do you think it possible for us to die if we don't transform enough?"

Quickly he changed back and stood up. He was about a head taller than you with dark brown hair draping over his left eye and green eyes.

"Ashton..." he said holding out his hand with a wide smile.

*She shakes his hand*

"The name is Ami. Nice to meet you."

"I asked if you were a stray because I'm basically homeless. I go back to my pet owners right after school because they only let me out in the day time. They think I'm a dog." he said with a grin, " So how do you survive in this world?"

"I've mastered changing in to all sorts of animals. So I just scope one out, become it, and then be friends with it. Sometimes they know where the best food is."

*She grins*

"And sometimes people give me some really tasty halves of sandwiches"

He grinned at you then asked, "So... you mentioned earlier that your an escaped science experiment. What's that about?" he leaned casually on the wall as though it was normal to meet someone with the same powers.

"Ahah, no. I think you misunderstood that part..."

*She becomes more serious, and frowns a little*

"When I was young, my parents, who can also transform, were taking care of me. They were stolen, and I found a message they hid for me. It said that they were taken, and that I would have to use my ability wisely to get around on my own. So, as a little 6 year old, I was forced out in the streets, and forced to accept that my parents had become the equivalent of some maniac's toys. I have been trying to become strong so that I could find and save them one day!"

*She has a confident look, and starts to smile a little*

"I'm sure that nobody would test on them so much they would die! I'm sure they would keep them alive! But I will get them out! After all, It's what I have to live for! So, I will save them! And they will live a normal life! And I will live a normal life to!!"

*She looks around, and she goes back to having a straight face*

"Nyah, Sorry, I musta went off on a tangent, there. Anyways, that's what I was thinkin when that came out!"

"I sure hope you can save your parents. I don't want to see you going through denial as I once did. I'm sure you can save them and I'll help you cause I'm pretty lonely. If you want proof well..." he looked around showing you that no one else was here and that he had been all alone until you showed up.

"Nyeah? What is it?"

"What's what?" he gave you a confused look.
