What says Summer to me in NC? The HEAT.

When I think of summer, the ocean immediately comes to mind. This Lighira is imitating how the water appears to be darker and lighter as your elevation changes.

He is based on the idea of flowing water and beeing free.

Mine is inspired by Sweet Williams - we have a bunch that suddenly started to grow under our spruce in the backyard. I'm showing a generic picture here:

The first thing that comes to my mind when someone says Summertime is, of course, Grilling! And my absolute favorite thing about grilling- other then stuffing myself with seriously delicious food- is watching the wood and coal glow hot underneath their ash. It's always come across as very symbolic to me, so of course I had to try and replicate that here!

When I think of the summer, I think of the rolling green hills of lively valleys, of crimson sunsets and the crisp morning dew, I think of the navy, star-speckled sky, and of the crystal clear springs of a lost coast...When I think of these amazing, beautiful things, I imagine a Lighira embodying that, and showing just how awe-inspiring the grace of summer can be.

You know, I really like roses, but where I live, it's way too hot to grow them, so in stead, I present to you, the Black Rose Lighira, what does this have to do with summer? Well, people get married in the Summer and the bride might just use roses for her Bouquet

*Note: Though it is based off of a Rose, the base color remains black, why? Because I think it looks prettier that way*

Summer night's sky:

This Lighira was inspired by the night ocean and people who go swimming at night - which is definitely a summer thing 'cause it's way too cold to swim at night any other time and it's usually too chilly to watch the ocean at night during non-summer seasons. At the top of the water, ripples catch the moonlight and cause the water to look lighter in some places like her cyan markings and wing tips. The markings even give off a glow, like some of the night creatures and deep sea creatures. Just beneath the surface it is dark, but you can still see a little, like the dark blue on her belly. Deeper down, however, it is pitch black like her fur.

There are colors in all the slots for breeding. If she has white in all those slots, then the colors would turn out pastel. Pastel on a black base is honestly not something I like.
