Since Fai didn't reply on whether it was okay that my printer chopped off a bit of the top and bottom, I went ahead and colored it anyway, because I won't really be available for much more of the celebration.
I'd originally tried to give the 'vorpa the iridescence marking with my metallic colored pencils, but it didn't really work too well. As time went on, I feel like the color got worse until I just gave up because nothing was making it better. There's a bunch of different blues, greens, and purples mixed together on him.
Scanning it back onto the computer muted a lot of the colors, but it doesn't really look much better in person. (If anything, I think it might look worse.) I don't usually color, so this is basically my first time trying any of this.

I know I'm not winning, I know this isn't accurate, but I had fun and at least I'll get the participation.
The heart was just me trying to make it look cuter...
I did spend a lot of time on the sea shells, though. i am proud of those, at least. ^_^

I really loved the image for this contest. x3 I had so much fun coloring this.
...I think I broke my finger with this. I lost my tablet pen a month ago, so all of this was done on my laptop's track pad. |D

Thanks! And yes. I'm just glad that didn't give me carpal tunnel. I've been so desperate to do any kind of digital art since I lost my tablet pen that I saw this and just kinda took off with it. xD I'm glad you like it. :)

When I was doing some nerdy research for this picture, I noticed that Sylvorpas were nocturnal. Since this Sylvorpa is so playful and active looking, I figured it might be night time outside. So I tried to make it darker and seem like it was nighttime.
The blue on the Sylvorpa is supposed to represent the Blue Tang and Achilles Tang Genes.
