Aero Peppermint was an accident.

That is, when I gave my Tagged MCC Zolnixi, Cricket, the final Trait Disruptor (the one that gave him his Feather Dust), I didn't think to check whether the Vis Dapple that went with it had a Hidden trait. I honestly thought Trait Disruptors couldn't cause Hiddens, so I assumed Cricket had Pure Dapple to go with his Pure Feather Dust--

For the record, Trait Disruptors taste terrible.

Cricket's first puppy, Creme de Menthe Cordial, ended up with Vis Marbled Fox and Carried Feather Dust, and of course I thought he had Hidden Dapple making his Marbled Fox Visible--

Fooled ya, didn't I?

When Creme fathered his only puppy so far, Dare Menthes Chocolat, I was only concerned about whether she'd inherited her father's Carried Feather Dust, which she did, and again I assumed Dapple was Hidden behind her Vis Kitsune--

I'm a Daddy's Girl.

Therefore, I expected Dare's puppy with Cricket to have either Vis Kitsune or Vis Dapple at Gene Two, and I was hoping for Vis Feather Dust at Mutation One. Please try to imagine my surprise when I helped this hatch from that first egg of theirs--


I honestly thought there had been a computer glitch--a wonderful, wonderful computer glitch.

Then it occurred to me to think about Hidden traits. Was it actually possible a single Trait Disruptor had given Cricket two Traits that previously did not exist among MCC Nixies?

Actually, it was.

***claps hands enthusiastically***

That's a wonderful story. And no, don't return the award, I am still very glad I sent it to you. Let's call it an award for Wonderful Accidents.

Think how many wonderful accidents have lead to amazing things like soap that floats (total mistake/accident), etc. Many recipes have accidents as part of their antecedents as well from what i understand.

Wonderful accidents are, well....wonderful!
