ok so just
Mutation One and Mutation Three will be swapped - those will not trigger a Re-Gen because we will be swapping all M1 and M3 slots and colors. so ll others in red will be regen excep these correct?
Tron has calmed down (he's young; cut him some slack). But his owner is puzzled, not by him but by this girl--
My name is Sugar Apple.
She has Vis Flower Petals in the Mutation 3 slot. According to the post, Mutation slots 1 and 3, with their colors, just get switched. However, also according to the post, Flower Petals stays in the Mutation 3 slot. Does it get switched and then switched back? What color will it pull from--the old Mutation 3 color or the new?
Sugar Apple has Jeweled Flower Wrap Hidden under her Vis Flower Petals. The post indicates Jeweled Flower Wrap will move to the Mutation 1 slot and stay there. However, neither Jeweled Flower Wrap nor Flower Petals are listed in red, indicating that Sugar Apple would not be re-generable.* Is that correct? If so, would she simply lose her Hidden trait and have pure GG Flower Petals?
*It's true she also has Carried Spots, which will make her re-generable after all. But what if she didn't have that Carried trait? There are probably Puffs out there who also have Jeweled Flowered Wrap Hidden under Flower Petals and who don't have any other traits that would trigger regenerability.
It looks like you discovered something that I missed. =P
So, Flower Petals is currently both an effect and a head item. It will retain that... but in two separate mutations (Slot 2 and Slot 3).
I will probably just make any pet with current Flower Petals Re-Gen'able.

The M1 / M3 swap happens before anything else.
So when you go to view that Trait List with Red Traits, pretend like M1 and M3 have already been switched.

Thanks! I wasn't sure how Hiddens vs Visibles or Carries worked with regenerating. #^_^#
If Lucky Dust is a Hidden, will it be locked as a carried or will we be able to spend another Trait Point on it so the Puffadore can have a visible Trait again? Or will it be stuck as a 2 carry if it only has the 2 Trait Points since the Lucky Dust itself is not changing but merely moving slots? (Sorry if I phrased that oddly... Let me know if you can't make sense of it.) And, to clarify, if a Puff has 1 visible Trait with Lucky Dust Hidden, will it be Regen'able at all if the movement of the Lucky Dust does not interfere with a Trait in its new slot and the showing Trait is not otherwise affected/Regen'able?
I do like very much that the Puffadores have flower vines now (/soon). ^_^ ! I will be playing with that for several of my new designs. ^w^
Yeah, that was a good plan to use the current names for this announcement so that we knew what we were looking at and for. xD Do you already know all the new names now? Or are those still being worked on? :)
Thanks again! ^_^ (Also, I can wait to find all of this out since it will be so soon, so you don't have to go out of your way to address it. ^_^; )

Restricted Traits will always take precedence and will stay locked in as they are now. So if a Puffadore has carried Lucky Dust, no matter what, it will still have carried Lucky Dust after the revamp. If it had other Traits that triggered a Re-Gen, it'll be able to reallocate those other points, but not Lucky Dust.
I don't know the names yet, I'll usually do that in my final pass through once everything's uploaded into the Site.

Hello Krin, I have a question for you.
I bred a bunch of egglings today(1/26/17) will they possibly be regens or will they be stuck with the traits they hatch with because they didn't hatch before the revamp for the puffs? Just checking in for clarification. Thanks very much for taking the time to reply.

Traits are determined as soon as a pet is created. It won't matter what stage the pet is currently in.

Ok, thanks Krin. I should have some more nice regens in that case then, once they hatch. :)
