Growing up, you were always the leader. Others bent to your will. You always wanted a challenge, a challenge your peers couldn't give you. You decided to explore the world, looking for something that made your life special. Some how you ended up here. The roots above looming over you. The coffins... well, some of them were visible, some unhinged. Others buried too deep to reach.
The names are faded, as are the quotes. There is a low groan from the other side of the cavern. It sounds almost like a large door being opened. Almost.

I decide that its probably not the safest option and if there was someone there they might not be friendly. Maybe I should find a place to hide?

Looking around, there's not much to hide behind, but luckily there is a coffin standing straight up from where the sound is coming from. When you peek around the corner, there is a large shadow cast on large, dark, iron doors. The shadow comes from a person. You don't know why this person is groaning, but it seems to be of pain.
The person holds there head, thrashing as if some invisible force has been trying to take control. It appears they haven't eaten for days. The person is also talking to themself.

What do you do?

I take pity on him. "Fine. Tag along."
He has no experience with this all.

He frowns at you, but he soon smiles a little. He calls for a servant. "Go pack my bags, for around a year. Don't forget my swimwear, formal clothes, as well as my toiletries," the servant nods and runs upstairs to spread the message apparently... pack everything that this guy owns. It mildly surprises you when he also calls a different name. "Crystal!!!" He waits for a few seconds, then a female Ny'vene runs out to greet him.

He looks at you. "This is my pet, she's rare around these parts, but it's not like it ever gets dull with her around."
He greets her with a hand on top of her head. "She has an adolescent, so as a thanks for letting me go with you, I'd like to offer it to you... that and I may have a few too many of her offspring in my hands..." he looks down a little bashfully.


This little Sylesti crawls out to greet you. She seems to like you.

what do you do?

"Thank you," I say, animosity lessened by the pretty sylesti. "She's beautiful," I reach to pet her.

Im curious. But what if they where a Cannibal? What if they attacked me? I should probably stay hiding

"She's a good girl, and is pretty loyal..." He glances up, noticing that you are somewhat less hostile towards him and bothers asking, "How many servants will I need on the trip?"
He's serious... He's freaking serious.(-_-*) Clueless.
He watches as his pile of bags is sorted in front of his feet. He glances up at you. "Umm... I wasn't sure what I needed, so I just packed everything!" He seems delighted and clearly has never been anywhere other than a 5 star residence. Imagine him sleeping in a tent in the woods, eh?
"Hmmm... so... what should I bring?" he glances at your backpack somewhat sheepishly.

I blink. I look at the ridiculous situation. "You're not going to be able to get that far with that much bags. You don't need that much clothes." That's more clothes than I've owned in my life! "Servants? Do you have any way to get food and water?" I pick up the sylesti. "I wonder if she can help with that. Servants will slow us down. Do you want to get killed?"

The figure seems startled by an unseen force. It always ends up like this, doesn't it? Protagonist being forced into the strangest of positions? Come to think about it... why did you bother starting an adventure... obviously you knew there would be trouble...
Wait... people go around looking for people to create stressful situations? What of this world anymore?

Aside from that the figure appears to be a man. He has acid green eyes and grey hair. He curls up and starts whimpering, it is unsure as to why. He starts crying out to the darkness.
"Take me back to where it's peaceful in the dark, take me back to a place untainted by your mark!" He keeps repeating that over and over. Almost like a song.
