"I'm, Heron, the Mudwing." She said, standing up taller.
"I'm in your wing let and I- oh no, they made my area with mud!" She said casually, until the last part she gasped.
Don't they make different areas for each of them? Sorry, haven't read them in awhile, waiting for the next book.

Carmine leaped back down from the ledge, walking over to join Scorpion. "Hi! You said your name was Heron, right? I'm Carmine." She said. "Do you happen to know who our teacher is?"

Subzero sighed, looking a little gloomy when Carmine left to talk with others.
Nervously, the NightWing spoke up. "I am Cometchaser. The teacher is a RainWing named Toucan."
Subzero watched Carmine, large ice crystals creeping and engulfing the ledge.

Carmine felt Subzero's eyes on her. She turned to see the Icewing looking gloomy on his ledge.
"Come on, Sub! Quit being emo and come here to introduce yourself," she teased, hovering in flight near his ledge. "Come say hi to Heron!"
"Yeah," Scorpion agreed. "Come on."

E IceWing pulled a furs out of his bag, and put the smallest one on the sloth like a blanket. Dragon was asleep curled up by his side. He put one over himself, and put one on Carmine's ledge, as hers was directly beside his frozen ledge. He set the other folded ones down on the floor and buried himself in the fur again. "Hi, everyone. I'm Subzero, and sorry about the cold. I was born with too much ice."

Carmine looked down from the ledge at Heron. "I hope you're okay with pets, I have a sloth." She pointed to Dragonfruit, who was sleeping on Subzero's ledge. "He's harmless, though."
