Backstory:
Her wings buzzed gently in the silence, said silence only broken by gentle hums of trees and rivers every once and a while. She stops to take regular breaks, chatting with the trees. Her long apendages had banners on them, her only reminder of home. She left only because everything was dying, and she knew she couldn't help them.

Frosted Forest Fairy



The Frosted Forest Fairy is the good spirit of the sleeping forest in the wintertime. They sleep all summer long and first come out of their hiding places up in the highest trees when winter comes and it starts to get very cold. When all other inhabitants of the forest start to hibernate, they become active and take care of all the little creatures and plants hiding under the blanket of snow covering the forest.
During summer they save up enough light and warmth in their small bodies, wings and antennae to keep them from freezing.
You may think it's a wonder, that the forest and its inhabitants awake in spring as if winter never happened... but surely the Frosted Forest Fairy knows better.

Inspiration for this Lunemara was a short story I'm writing at the moment. In it there's also an enchanted forest where winter seems to never end and there are these very tiny fairies who keep the forest and all the critters living inside alive.

Swamp Lights

This lunamara has lived among the swamp for many years and haven't been seen often. Many fairies and others have wandered into their home the lunamara leads them back out of harms way.

Female and Male Verison

I was inspired to create these because with the lost of my own father and the colors beautiful that can only show hope and protection for someone. In other words, I used Superman as inspiration that my Dad gave me for Protection and Hope.



These Beautiful Guardian Lunes only shows themselves when they hear a cry of a lonely child or someone afraid of the world. They blend within the dark at times, but when seen during the day, the Lunes are quite beautiful with the mixture of reds and yellows within the blues. They would appear to the person, giving them comfort and hopes for the future. They would only stay visible as long as the person or child needs them, keeping them company and sitting upon their shoulders. Their powers also give them the ability to grow at least 4'5 inches tall so that they could wrap their beautiful Forest Spirit wings around them and hold them close.
Last encounter was with a young girl who had lost her father and she would weep every day for that she was lost until a Male and Female Lune appeared, surrounding the young girl and pulling her into their arms to give her comfort. They told her that her father was still near by and that he was watching over her, and that he had sent both of them down to be with her and to give her the courage she needed to live on.They would stay with her and take care of her as long as she needed them. They became her guardians until she grew up to a beautiful woman then they left to go help another who may need them.

Name: Posari


Posari her whole life was called a freak, her whole colony was Uniform they all looked the same. She was so much different. She looked like a plant from a different region they all fit in there she was too different they kept on there torture for years. Unable to take the torment anymore she left hoping to find someplace somewhere where she would be accepted.She flew for days until losing hope of finding the place she hoped for, until she made it to Astryl's Vale. There she met a young child who saw her exhausted behind a shop and took her home. When she woke she was scared, scared of being cast out again, scared of being alone. The child living alone herself tried what she could to calm Posari. What finally calmed her was finding out the child was like her alone, rejected, unwanted. Posari was finally home, finally had the family she always wanted. (Story contains 158 words)

A Bumble Bee Lunemara called Bee! ^.^


Flitting around the blossoming flowers Bee let the sun warm her wings. The day was the first warm day in a while and she could feel the bite of the earth, curling itself in on itself in preperation for the change of the seasons. Very soon the time of warm-and-bright would turn towards fruit-and-falling, pathing the way for the time of cold-and-sleep. She could feel the cooling tang of the air start to pull at her feelers and wondered at the sensation. Would the time of fruit-and-falling be as brief as that of rain-and-blooming? Or would it be as long as it had never been these past few turnings? With the earth seeming to hurry itself to some unknown destination? Humming to herself as she continued her work she let herself look forward to these changes that had yet to come. Joining the many others of her kind and others that were watching and waiting for the changes to arise.

Ri Shi is a Lunemara that only appears during a Solar or Lunar eclipse this is do both to his coloring which change to mimic the colors of either event and his name witch means eclipse in Chinese or so his mom told him. (he is inspired by the up coming Solar eclipse)

First Light

Within light, there is beauty. Sunlight, bioluminescence, these lights bring colour and joy to the world. This Lunemara specifically is a mixture of these two beautiful forms of light.

I was looking through the entries and it usually seems to be an either/or situation as far as backstories and inspirations go. I was wondering if the backstory should be a fictional narrative or if it should be a description of the inspiration.
