"I guess...."she said a little skeptical. She tied the colt up and managed to find a sharp stone " Hey! I can mark our path with this!" she piped running back over to Lilly Her tail swishing back and forth.

She hesitated, "But Holly, we know the trails so well! Can't we just follow them?"

" ... well... to be honest... I still get lost sometimes, And if we get split up I can find y way back!" she said Skipping along marking the first tree

Lily sighed and took Holly's arm, "You're not going to get lost! If we did my father wou.." she trailed off, "I'll find our way back. Promise."

She smiled and put the stone away trusting Lilly, though she kept it in her small otherwise empty pouch in her dress.

Lily skipped away, carefully stepping over a log and avoiding a patch of mud nearby as she found the trail, which was slightly overgrown. She beckoned Holly over, lifting her dress so she didn't get it caught and rip it.

Holly did the same curling her tail around her arm so it wouldent get caught as well

Lily led the day further into the forest, taking care not to damage the flowers on the dirt trail and avoided the nettles and brambles with great care, delicately stepping over or around them until they reached the first berry bushes. Here, lily waited for holly, but had no doubt her friend was right behind her.

Holly Had stayed lose in toe and began picking the berries munching on one now and then. " Hey Lily, Do you think we will meet anyone out here?" she asked curiously, not that she expected a yes, she was only curious what her friend thought

Lily thought carefully, "Well, Father will come looking if I'm not home by dinner, other than that.. stray hunters from the village, or maybe traders.. but i believe we're the only children who take this trail. it leads to the bee hive after all" Lily shivered, she'd been afraid of bees since a younger age.
