Back a year or two ago, we had a really good snow where I lived, and so my family and I decided to go sledding. I remember that the moon was really bright, so that was unusual in and of itself, but the snow just kind of 'lit up'. It got this lovely shining appearance, like diamonds or something, and I remember it being so beautiful. This is modeled after that night.

I live in an area surrounded by fields. At this time of the year the fields are empty, all the crops have been harvested. It very rarely snows here and I can remember only two times that it was cold enough and snowed long enough to stick to the ground. This Griffi reminds me of and is inspired by snow in an empty field.

She is based on a wrapped christmas present

I got inspiration from this image. The wings and other dark colors on the body were used to replicate the frozen river while the main colors were used to look more like the snow that is around the river.

This is mine

My inspiration for her is a bit different then most. This Griffi was inspired by my cat Reeses. You see four years ago she was born, but the best part is she was born while my family was eating christmas dinner!! There are five kids in my family and there were six kittens born. So my youngest brother went first and picked out a black and white kitten. My two sisters picked out the matching yellow tabbies as their cats. My little cousin picked out the solid black kitten, and his sister took the calico. Finally in the end I was able to pick out my kitten. I got to choose between the brown tabby with a white belly and a black and gray spotted kitten. My uncle snuck up behind me and picked up the black and gray kitten proclaiming it to be for his girlfriend.

As the kittens grew older we got to know them better with different personalities and everything. The Kitten I had gotten was soon named Reeses and began the habit of being my best friend. She even has a vary similar personality to me! She accompanies me everywhere now. Her favorite thing to do is to crawl into bed with me and have me pet her thick ling fur. Every christmas now she follows me out to the car and excitedly jumps in. She sits on my dashboard and starts to meow excitedly when we get close to my grandfathers house. When we get there Reeses jumps out and races to the door. I open the door and she practically flys up the stairs to the laundry room, were her mother, now an old old calico, patently waits. While everyone eats christmas dinner our cats all curl up and take a happy cat family nap.

I like to call this one the Stargazer's Chill Griffi.
I took inspiration from a design I had originally created for the Lupora. I felt like the colors still worked well on a Griffi, so I went with them. I'm actually pretty glad with how this turned out :3

My inspiration is the night sky, when the moon and stars are still out and the color is between black and navy. It's my favorite time.

My inspiration is my favorite animal which is the snow leopards

I have this design saved since Winter 2016. But now I can try out some new genes on it.
I was inspired by sundown over a snowy landscape I love how the purple-ish tones come out during that time, but the snow also still sparkles under the golden light.
