In lead pencil, I drew what I wanted the card to look like and wrote the simple message I decided on.


Lined Drawing
I went over all the lines in a fine liner and changed the eyes because I thought they didn't look right open.


Coloured Drawing
First i tested out some colours in the top right of my page, then put in a solid light colour.


Final Product
Finally, I did the shading with more of the same pencils, before using a permanent marker to emphasize the outline. Then I cut it out and rewrote the message on the back.

Few that's a relief. Thank you!

Here is my valentine! At first, I was brainstorming for sylestia-related valentine ideas, but then I came up with this one! Hope you enjoy!

Hmmm... I wonder where he got that flower...

This was a fun one! My friend Crystallizedshadow and I got together and worked on our valentines for a biiiig chunk of the day!

Material-wise I pretty much just had printer paper, colored pencils, and scotch tape ^^;; Here's what I came up with!

Progress pic 3: coloring! Tried to add a chipmunk-like gene similar to the bulbori's; it just seemed to fit this lil guy ^-^ (Post-ferrikki-debut edit: called it! >:D )

Progress pic 5: realized I forgot the lil gem in the tail and made a WoL-appropriate fix for it, and added the sign! If you can't read the writing, one side says "Will you FINALLY be mine?" (because we're sooo close to being able to own that adorable new species!!! o3o) and the other says "Yours Fur-ever."
(post-ferrikki edit: If I could go back in time I'd make it say "FERR-ever." B) )

Hi! This is my first time participating in a contest on here, so I hope I did everything right lol
I sculpted my entire submission out of polymer clay. (It literally picks up any little bit of dust that touches it, which made this very frustrating)

So I have this very cute Aurleon that really wants to explore the Lost Grove. So he made a valentine for me begging to be included in my megazone party. He even made a joke about his gene "Bleeding Heart" in his valentine, which said, "I would be left with a bleeding heart if I didn't get to explore The Lost Grove with you." Obviously, I have to include him in my party now.

I assume the Lost Grove takes place in Astryl's Vale. So I made a tiny bouquet of apple blossoms I got bored so I changed my entry.
