She didn't reply, but kept her wings up make of steel. The gun pointing at her stayed up and she just looked at her hands which were in her lap. A breeze was now coming through the window and the sky was becoming dark. It would be the church service soon, they usually let everyone go to that even if they were misbehaving. All the guards met there, you saw hundreds surrounding the church whenever you went.

The woman still didn't reply. You sat in silence for a while, then the door opened. You were grabbed by two guards and the woman was grabbed by another two. You saw the head guard, Blood of the Red Rose, standing at the door with a neutral expression on his face. He then gave a nod and you started to be led out. At this point, the sun had completely gone down.

You looked out of the bared, small window. This was all you knew, this strange life. You slumped down against the cold, hard stone wall. The walls looked to also be of stone, it was cold. In the corner was a small bed, wooden boards with iron edges and legs. Ontop was a hard mattress, whatever was inside of it wasn't comfortable. The door was made of iron with a small flap where breakfast and lunch were pushed through.

You sighed.

The roommate you shared the room with had just left. Everyone was dragged out, suddenly going missing in the dead of night. You couldn't remember what happened, but something told you you'd never see them again. You had watched new hybrids come in everyday, scientists tested on them, then they disappeared. You had been here the longest, you had been tested on the longest. Those with better powers disappeared quicker. You had a doubt in you, as if you were going to disappear too.

The iron door opened silently and a young boy was thrown in. The room was suddenly boiling hot. The door slammed shut and you heard two guards muttering. The boy sat up, wrestling with the rope that bounded his hands. He was snarling, unable to speak properly due to the gag in his mouth tied around the back of his head. His hood was down and you could see he had feathers coming out of his skin and small wings on his back. His eyes glowed red and he seemed angry.

At the sudden heat I yelp but make a cool bubble around myself to combat it. Once my temperature was regulated I go over to the boy "Hold still." I whisper and take the gag off then untie his hands.
