Here's mine U^U

Ok, I made a semi mad dash to complete this project before I got to tired(started working on it at about 8pm yesterday and finished at like 4 minutes to 4am this morning). I would have done a much more elaborate piece, but I'm also still needing to run errands, eat, sleep and have rest/brakes to recoop my energy and simply ran out of days that I was 100% free. However this piece is still rather nice and I'm happy with how it came out.

This piece that I have made to submit to the contest features a momma Qit and her baby(of which in themselves were inspired by the bond that I had with my mom and our joint love of horses). The Mom Qit is more or less my mom, and the baby Qit is more or less myself when I was young.

This was a blast to make/work on! It was lots of fun and very fulfilling. I hope you all enjoy the pics, and best of luck to everyone!

Working on the actual card

I decided to draw something this time around. Hopefully it counts as a Valentine still...



Here's the initial sketch. I wanted to do a Faelora, because I have a hard time drawing animal-like creatures and this was the easiest.



Then I colored the lines. I usually do this while drawing because it makes it much easier for me to do the rest of the color.



And finally, I colored in the drawing and added "Be Mine?" onto the Valentine that the Faelora is holding.

...I'm really sorry if this isn't that great. I just didn't have any time until today because of work and other real life commitments. :(
