These Sylvorpas are my attempt to create Sylvorpas that look like my new pet, my axolotl, who is named Button.
They are appropriate for the Fortune Festival because I was extremely lucky to be able to acquire Button! After seven weeks of misadventures, including a major snowstorm, I finally brought Button home on 14Mar19.
This is a photo from when Button was living at the breeders'. The little guy now has a much bigger tank, with fine sand on the bottom and things to explore. There are now tiny axolotl footprints all over the sand. Unfortunately, the photo doesn't show the permanent smile that axolotls have (a bit like dolphins; they aren't smiling; their mouths just look that way).
Button is a leucistic axolotl. That's similar to an albino, but with dark eyes. Button is young, about 6" long, and I can't tell whether they are female or male. Button has already done a lot of cute things, which includes swimming right up to the glass where my half-Husky, Yogi, was looking in, and apparently trying to touch noses. This astonished Yogi!

I refer to them as the "Clover Dust" Qitaris; seeing as four leaf clovers are viewed as Lucky and are often associated with St. Patrick's Day. The golden accents represent good dust sprinkled upon the clovers to add further luck to the already four leaf clovers.
The Gold dust of course also represents a pot of gold; which can be interpreted as hope.
A "Pot of Gold" at the end of a rainbow, can be seen as a reward at the end of a long journey. The rainbow being the path. The pot of gold being the hope and reward that was held so dearly as the path was traveled upon. The goal being strived to be reached.
I chose to use Qitaris as the species seeing as they are very similar to Horses. Horseshoes are viewed to be a lucky charm by some and could be implied to the Qitaris in their lucky pair due to their horse like appearance.
I apologize for the long explanation; I just thought it would be interesting to explain my train of thought for why I designed the Qitaris the way I did. (**)//
